Are you interested in pursuing a career in the airport or airline industry? If so, start by enrolling into AVI40219 Certificate IV in Aviation [Aviation Supervision] and you will be on your way to developing the skills required to manage ground operations at an airport including aircraft refuelling, customer relations and aircraft marshalling.
You will extend your knowledge to be able to coordinate accident and emergency procedures at airports, identify and respond to health safety and security issues and develop the skills needed to communicate effectively in the airline and airport-working environment. You will also acquire valuable experience in operational procedures in the modern aviation industry, including the use of technology and dealing effectively with customers.
South Metropolitan TAFE deliver this course at the Aerospace Training Centre, located at the Jandakot Airport. Students enrolled in this course have access to a fully equipped aircraft hangar facility, which contains various aircraft engines, workshop stations, computer facilities, a flight simulator and a static aircraft.
