If you have an interest in this industry then MEM50212 Diploma of Engineering – Technical (HVAC) is a great course to start your career in this expanding industry.
During your studies, you will develop a number of skills including the ability to design and implement HVAC systems using thermodynamics principles, an understanding of psychometric processes, and the principles of energy management. You will have opportunities to use building information modeling software, produce engineering drawings, and understand the requirements of workplace health and safety. When you complete your studies you will have all the basic fundamentals and confidence to work with a number of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems used across a number of industries.
The HVAC facilities at South Metropolitan TAFE, are considered to be Western Australia’s premier center for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning studies. The purpose-built facility is among the best in the southern hemisphere. When considering this course, please be aware that this is engineering-based, and will not result in a trade qualification being issued.
