Diploma of Automotive Technology

If you are interested in servicing light vehicles, then the Diploma of Automotive Technology will fulfill your goals by giving you the skills needed to work in the automotive, service, and repair industry. This course refines your knowledge so that you can diagnose, analyze, evaluate, design, and modify automotive electrical and mechanical systems. You will gain the ability to identify faults in braking systems, fuel systems, transmission and driveline systems, and steering and suspension systems and decide on the best course of action to repair these issues, using environmentally sustainable work practices. When you complete this Diploma, you will also be able to develop and document specifications and procedures and overhaul engines and associated engine components.

is course will give you the knowledge and some of the skills of an automotive mechanic, however, you will not receive a trade certificate or be able to work as a fully qualified mechanic without achieving the Provisional Skills Assessment requirements of Trades Recognition Australia.
