New Zealand Certificate In Te Reo (Lingual Immersion) Level 2
This Level is the second part of a 36-week programme, New Zealand Certificate In Te Reo M?ori (Rumaki Reo Rua) Level 2.
This is an interactive bilingual beginner’s level M?ori language programme. This programme level will introduce the learner to more conversational M?ori language and tikanga M?ori, further enhancing learning in preparation for New Zealand Certificate In Te Reo M?ori (Rumaki Reo Rua) Level 4.
If you want to learn basic M?ori language, this is the perfect place to continue on from Level 1. Whether you want to use Te Reo M?ori at home with the kids or in the workplace, this interactive programme will have you speaking with confidence in no time.
You will continue to improve correct pronounce of M?ori words, names, and place names. You will be able to use basic greetings and introduce yourself, as well as how to understand and follow tikanga (protocols). Our Kaiako (tutors) are experienced with teaching beginners, and you’ll be with other Tauira (students) who have the same aspirations to learn our indigenous language.
Te Reo M?ori has become a part of the educational landscape of Aotearoa. Past graduates have been newsreaders, public figures, teachers, school principals and businesspeople - many who have advanced to higher levels of study in Te Reo M?ori.

correctly pronounce M?ori words, names and place names

Upon successful completion of this programme, you will receive the following qualification:
New Zealand Certificate in Te Reo (Reo Rua) Level 2
You must complete both Level 1 and Level 2 to receive the qualification. You will automatically be enrolled into Level 2 once you enrol into this course

On completion of this programme, graduates will have developed an understanding and knowledge of:

PSW Opportunity
- During study, all students on a student visa can work up to 20 hours per week during semester and full time during vacations.
- After completing Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Qualification, a student will get a three years open post-study work visa.
- After completing Level 8 Post Graduate courses of 1 year, students get 1 year PSW.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- IELTS test - General or Academic score of 5 with no band score lower than 5
- TOEFL Paper based test (pBT) - Score of 500 (with an essay score of 4 TWE)
- TOEFL Internet based test (iBT) - Score of 35 (with a writing score of 14)
- Cambridge English Examination - B2 First or B2 First for schools with a score of 154. No less than 154 in each skill.
- OET - Minimum of Grade C or 200 in all sub-tests
- NZCEL - a) Expiring Level b) Current: a) Level 4 (Academic) b) Level 4 (Academic)
- Pearson Test of English (Academic) - PTE (Academic) score of 36 with no band score lower than 36
- Language Cert - B1 Achiever IESOL (LRWS) with PASS and no less than PASS in each skill
