The International Study Centre is the perfect introduction to studying in the UK, giving students extra support as they start their university journey. By studying in an immersive environment, you can improve your English language abilities whilst gaining the academic experience you need for university. The International Study Centre provides the knowledge and skills needed for international study at Kingston University, London. Our International Study Centre programmes are provided in collaboration with Study Group.

This means we meet the OfS requirements for course quality, academic standards, student support and student protection, meaning International Study Centre students can now access the same range of benefits as students attending other UK public universities.

The Kingston International Study Centre (KULISC) provides a range of degree preparation programmes for international students. These include academic modules, English language training and study skills, so you are ready to join your chosen degree programme on completion.
Progression to your degree
Once you complete a degree preparation programme and achieve the required grades, you can enter your chosen degree programme at the University.
Access to University facilities
As a student at the International Study Centre, based on the Kingston Hill campus, you will be part of the University from the day you start your course. As well as benefiting from resources at the International Study Centre, you will have access to all facilities at the University.
For those with business ideas, Kingston also offers support through entrepreneur societies and career guidance from the University’s Careers and Employability department.
University-style teaching
The International Study Centre programmes will introduce you to the style of teaching that you will experience when you progress onto your degree. This includes: tutorials, seminarstyle classes and large group lectures.
Personal monitoring and support
Your progress will be monitored at all times to make sure you remain on track to successfully complete the programme. You will also benefit from regular assessment through examination and marked coursework.

The International Study Centre offers a variety of CareerAhead activities designed to give you a head start to becoming a highly skilled, self-aware and confident graduate. You will develop key employability skills, such as teamwork, problem solving and communication; as well as assessing your individual strengths and areas for improvement. With help from your tutors, you will create a personal development plan to help set goals for your future success.
