International Foundation Year - Business, Management and Law

Our Business, Management and Law programme will prepare you for a degree in Business, across a range of areas including Business Economics, Accounting, Law and Marketing and Advertising. Many of the progression degrees include work placements and the opportunity to study abroad, for the same fee as a traditional degree.

Academic English Skills

This module provides you with intensive English language preparation in all the important skill areas including reading, writing, speaking and listening. Here you can discover the necessary academic study skills relevant to starting a degree programme at Kingston University.

As you progress through the module you will be taught a number of English language skills, including:

  • Sentence structure when writing
  • Scanning content for key information
  • Learning how to construct and deliver presentations.

The International Study Centre integrates CareerAhead advice and activities into its programmes. These are designed to give you a head start by helping you become a highly skilled, self-aware, confident and employable graduate.

You will develop key employability skills, such as teamwork, problem solving and communication, and familiarise yourself with the world of work. You will also assess your strengths and areas for improvement. With help from your tutors, you will create a personal development plan to help set goals for future success.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Only available to international (non-UK and non-EU) students

English language: Academic IELTS for UKVI 4.5 overall (minimum 5.0 in writing and no other skill less than 4.0)**, or a higher entry requirement for progression to the MPharm in Pharmacy (5.5 in all skills)
