Since 1935, this has been the mission of Istituto Marangoni, beginning with fashion and extending to design, always with the aim of providing those who choose Istituto Marangoni for their training with the best means to express themselves creatively. Today Marangoni Institute is an established and recognized aesthetic laboratory of European-style culture with a specifically Italian imprint.

In addition to a variety of both long and short courses in fashion and design in the established schools, the new school in Florence will include an intense programme of studies dedicated to art, encompassing History of Art, Art Management and Multimedia Art.

A newly published ranking once again confirms Istituto Marangoni’s excellence in the world of fashion education: Fashionista, the influential news site published by Breaking Media, has ranked Istituto Marangoni as one of the 10 Best Fashion Schools in 2018, and the best fashion school in France, India and China.

Istituto Marangoni was selected thanks to the international approach, the quality and effectiveness of the teaching method and the important connections among the most renowned fashion brands.

Conducted yearly since 2010, the survey scrutinizes the leading fashion schools and universities of the world, according to a survey that analysed feedbacks from students, alumni and industry leaders.

Since June 2016 the Istituto Marangoni has been listed by the Ministero dell'Istruzione, dell'Università e della Ricerca, the Italian ministry of education, among the institutions authorised to award degrees in music, dance and arts.

In the UK, its BA and MA programmes are validated by the Manchester Metropolitan University, which also awards master's degrees at the Paris branch. A three-year fashion stylist course in Paris is approved by the Commission nationale de la certification professionnelle.
