What is a Bachelor of Health Science (Chinese Medicine)?

A Bachelor of Health Science (Chinese Medicine) provides the understanding and practical skills needed to improve wellness. The course is designed to meet all three divisions of Chinese Medicine practitioner registration: Acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and Chinese herbal dispensing and is approved by the CMBA (Chinese Medicine Board of Australia).

Throughout this four-year degree, you will be taught by educated practitioners who are still active in the field. You’ll develop your knowledge and practical skills in treating acute and chronic illnesses through Chinese medicine techniques and herbal remedies.

Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
PhD students can stay upto 4 years

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Before you begin your application to study as a international student, check that you meet all the requirements listed below.

Successful completion of at least 1 EFTSL at AQF level 5 or above, or equivalent
OR
Australian secondary school certificate, or equivalent Senior Secondary qualification, or Baccalaureate Diploma
Academic IELTS 7.0 (no band less than 7) or equivalent

OR alternative entry requirement may be available. Alternative entry may include assessment and approval of prior study, or successful completion of a readiness assessment.
