Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education & Political Science
Students who complete this PackTeach Program will earn two degrees: the Bachelor of Arts in Education/Secondary Education and the Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. The PackTeach program provides students with a broad background in political science and then they take courses specifically designed to help them become secondary teachers. Students who successfully complete the program are prepared to teach in secondary education, graduate school, or an immediate career in a professional field. This dual degree program supports the commitment of the University of Nevada Reno to provide our communities with highly qualified, diverse professional educators.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
You must have a 3.0 weighted GPA in the academic core courses (AGPA) in order to be admitted to the University of Nevada, Reno. The academic courses include: English, math, social sciences and natural sciences. A weighted AGPA takes into account the extra difficulty of honors, AP or IB classes.
International students must meet the following criteria to be considered for admission to the University:
GPA: 3.0 academic GPA on a 4.0 scale
English proficiency: 61+ TOEFL or 6.0 IELTS or 95+ Duolingo
SAT/ACT scores: We do not require SAT or ACT scores for admission or scholarship consideration
