CANCER RESEARCH & PRECISION ONCOLOGY MSc

With a 'bench to bedside' approach, this programme enables graduates to work within a multidisciplinary environment of world-leading scientists and cancer-specialists addressing the latest challenges in cancer research. 

Accredited by the Royal Society of Biology for the purpose of meeting, in part, the academic and experience requirement for the Membership and Chartered Biologist (CBiol).
Train to break down barriers currently preventing discoveries at the bench from being translated into treatments at the bedside.   
Learn to communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment, critically evaluate a wide range of scientific data and research strategies.
Make a significant contribution to cancer research by understanding the science, methodology and terminology used by scientists and clinicians from different disciplines.

Gilmorehill Campus

Gilmorehill Campus is located in the west end of Glasgow, 3 miles from the city centre. This is where you will find our grand main building and many of the University’s teaching and research facilities.

Garscube Campus

Garscube Campus is 4 miles away from our main campus. Here you will find the School of Veterinary Medicine and 4 Research Institutes in the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences as well as our outdoor sports facilities.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

A 2:1 Honours degree in biochemistry, biotechnology, medicine or other relevant biological/biomedical science. Professional experience and 2:2 applicants with a strong subject specific expertise will also be considered on a case-by-case basis.

An IELTS score of at least 6.5 with a minimum score of 6.0 in each component (or equivalent qualification) is required for students who do not have English as their first language.
