Master of Science in Technology with Graphic Design

The Master of Science degree with a major in Technology, with an emphasis in Graphics Management or Graphics Design offers advanced instruction in technical, managerial and supervisory areas related to the graphics and imaging industries. The degree is offered through the Department of Technology and Workforce Learning. (See Master of Science- Technology.)

Option II includes a core of 12 credit hours which are required and 18 credit hours of emphasis electives courses. The final plan would be worked out between the student and their advisor.

Admission to the graduate program with a major in Technology and an emphasis in Graphics Management or Graphics Design requires an undergraduate major in printing, graphic arts, graphic design or a related field.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

The transcript should clearly indicate:

all coursework and grades (or marks)
the degree awarded
the date the degree was awarded
the name of the institution where the degree was earned

Please note that a 2.7/4.0 converted grade point average is required for admission to any of our graduate programs.

The Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) is required only of students who are applicants to the Masters of Business Administration program. It is required of both American and International students.

If the opportunity to take the GMAT is not available in the home country, students may be admitted conditionally with the College of Business approval.

However, if the student does not receive the required GMAT score in the first term of study at Pittsburg State University, he or she will not be allowed full admission to the MBA program and will have to withdraw or select another major.
