BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION / ENGINEERING — ADVANCED SAFETY ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT (DUAL DEGREE), MBA / MENG
Safety engineering professionals often make great leaders, and we want to train you to become both. This dual degree program will teach you to manage your company to ensure that the engineering process is safe from start to finish.
In fact, we’ve studied today’s job market, and we’ve specifically designed our program to provide both general and engineering-specific business management skills. You will need to apply and be accepted to both the MBA and Master of Engineering (MEng) programs. To earn your MEng with a concentration in Advanced Safety Engineering and Management, you'll take courses like Prevention through Design and Hazard Analysis and Waste Elimination. You'll also study topics including risk assessment, liability, and crisis leadership. To complete your MBA, you'll take Accounting and Finance for Managers, Strategic Cost Analysis and Decision Making, and Marketing Strategy, among others. You'll have a choice to take courses concurrently, or complete your MEng first, but either way, two of your MEng. courses will apply towards your MBA degree.
