Build on your industry experience to become a change management leader with the world-first Master of Change, Innovation and Leadership from Victoria University.

This degree is designed to equip experienced professionals from diverse industries with sought-after skills. You’ll develop techniques to build innovative teams, drive complex change and adjust quickly to new business conditions. You’ll learn to help individuals appreciate the complexity that surrounds organisational change and strengthen their ability to manage change in their organisations.

The course program is developed in collaboration with industry leaders who have enormous change experience who will also contribute towards the delivery of the program. While the program will take an interdisciplinary approach, the key focus will be on blending business and psychology.

Specifically, the course will provide you with the opportunity to articulate and challenge models or frameworks of change. You’ll reflect on your knowledge and understanding of strategic change to become the source of value for your organisation.

City Flinders Campus is a modern building in the centre of Melbourne’s busy central business district (CBD) You could be studying courses as diverse as osteopathy and business at this campus. It is opposite Melbourne’s grand Flinders Street Station, the Yarra River and the Southbank precinct. The campus is a perfect location for transport, shopping, food and cafes, or to hold a special event at our our Convention Centre.

Organisational change management (OCM) is a fast growing profession, with the demand for qualified professionals increasing as companies continuously refine and restructure. However, organisations have realised the lack of knowledge and understanding of the field of change management (with most studies showing a 60-70% failure rate). This course offers the recognised OCM qualification that will produce professionals with the necessary skills and thought leadership to fill this gap in the market.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

  • Completion of an Australian Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a similar discipline
    AND
  • Five (5) years of approved work experience
    OR
  • Completion of an Australian Graduate Certificate (or equivalent) in a similar discipline
    AND
  • Five (5) years of approved work experience

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

You will need to provide evidence that you have achieved one of the following levels of English language proficiency :

  • IELTS (academic module): Overall score of 6.5 (no band less than 6.0)
  • TOEFL Internet: Test score of 79. Section score no less than:
    > Listening: 19
    > Speaking: 19
    > Reading: 18
    > Writing: 22
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE): Overall score of 58-64 (with no section score less than 50)
  • University of Cambridge - Advanced (CAE): Overall score of 176. No individual band less than 169.
  • VU English - English for Academic Purposes (EAP) (Level 6): Achieved.

IELTS, TOEFL, PTE and CAE: These tests must be taken no more than two years prior to commencing your course. 

In some cases, we will accept test results from other methods of examination not listed in this table.
