Harmony and Sustainability: Theory & Practice (MA)

The programme aims to develop skills, knowledge and social awareness with reference to the Harmony Institute goals, in order to investigate, explore and develop harmony and sustainability. We ask questions about:

relationships
justice
fairness
respect
This Master’s degree has been developed as an integrative programme which can examine ideas and practice through which we can develop a positive future for the world and its inhabitants, through the application of core Harmony principles evident in classical and indigenous practice and modern ecological theory. These principles are

“an expression of wholeness, a way of looking at ourselves and the world of which we are part. It is about connections and relationships."

The emotional, intellectual and physical are all connected. We are connected to our environments, both built and natural, and all the parts of our communities and their environments are connected.

The programme will allow students to take different pathways specialising in practical outcomes, such as business, community action, well-being and social justice, emphasising theory, exploring their relationship with nature and the environment.
