Criminal Justice and Policing (MA)
Program Available at Swansea Campus
This program explores both the theoretical foundations of policing and criminological theories of crime and the operation of the criminal justice system.
Students will gain knowledge of international developments in criminological and criminal justice research and the impact of social, political and economic factors on policing, crime and criminal justice policy. Students will also study contemporary issues, such as cybercrime, terrorism and response policing.
The program team has a wealth of experience both in a professional and academic capacity and is able to bring that experience to the classroom.
Students are encouraged to take the opportunities that have been developed with a number of organizations for placements and volunteer work.
