Music and Religious Studies BA
The study of music is a creative, technical and theoretical exploration of one of the most mysterious art forms. Studying it at Liverpool Hope, will give you the opportunity to investigate the many facets of performing, composing and producing beautiful and challenging music. You will also be exposed to aspects of music education and the music business and industry, as well as its many historical and theoretical concepts.
You will have the opportunity to explore the performance and composition of music across a broad range of topics and genres such as popular, classical, jazz and electronic. Your studies will focus on music performance, composition and production – underpinned by historical and theoretical areas of enquiry led by staff with a broad range of teaching, professional and research specialisms.
Our Music degree is part of our School of Creative & Performing Arts, based at our Creative Campus, and housed in the purpose-built Capstone building. The School is one of only a handful of All-Steinway Music Schools in the UK and, in addition to a Steinway Model D in the Capstone Theatre, we also have a number of sound-proofed bespoke music recording, rehearsal and practice spaces, as well as a number of musical instruments to cater across all musical genres

Campus Information
Hope Park
Hope Park is our main teaching campus and is situated in Childwall, a leafy suburb of Liverpool. The campus is a mini educational village with places to live, work, study, eat and relax.
Creative Campus
Creative Campus is the home to our creative and performing arts degrees. It is based in the city centre of Liverpool and is a constant hive of activity, with teaching, living and social spaces – and an on-site theatre.
Aigburth Park

Placement Years and the Placement and Internship Programme (PiP)
We’re proud to be able to offer all students the opportunity to add a Placement Year to their degree. We also work with a range of organizations to offer internship and placement opportunities. Getting hands-on experience gives you unique insights into a career and valuable experience when applying for jobs or further study.
Part-time work on campus
We have a variety of jobs on campus that are exclusively for Liverpool Hope students. Work up to 10 hours a week on campus to support yourself while you study, gain experience in the workplace and meet new people.
PSW Opportunity
- The Graduate Route is a new UK post-study work visa to be introduced for international students graduating in summer 2021 or later. It will allow you to live and work in the UK for up to two years after your degree.
