Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
For entry onto an undergraduate degree, applicants are required to have one of the following qualifications:
Higher Secondary School Certificates Indian School Certificate (ISC) / Intermediate Certificate / Higher Secondary Certificate / and all India Senior School Certificate / Pre-university course awarded on completion of Standard 12 with a minimum of 60% in four academic subjects awarded by CBSE, CISE and Metro State Boards
A Levels
International Baccalaureate with a minimum of 28 points
For entry onto a postgraduate course, applicants are required to have:
A good UK equivalent 3-year or 4 year bachelor's degree from a recognised university, with a minimum grade of 60%
Students without a prior degree may be considered on an individual basis depending on their level of experience and capabilities.
All students will also require a suitable English language qualification. Please see our English Language page for further details
IELTS (Academic or UKVI): 6.0 overall, minimum of 5.5 in each component, unless stated otherwise on the specific course page
Cambridge Assessment English: B2 First (First Certificate in English) minimum overall score of 169, no less than 162 in each component or C1 Advanced Certificate in Advanced English
International Baccalureate: English B; English A Literature and Language; English A Literature at Standard Level 5 or Higher Level 4
TOEFL IBT : 78 overall with a minimum of 12 in Reading, 11 in Listening, 17 in Speaking and 20 in writing
TESA (Test of English for Studies Abroad) 6.0 overall, minimum of 5.5 in each component, unless stated otherwise on the specific course page
Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic): CEFR B2 Level
GCSE/IGCSE English language grade C/4 or above
University of Suffolk Password Skills Test: 6.0 overall, and a minimum of 5.5 in each component
If you are applying to study a Professional Health Programme such as; Adult Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Diagnostic Radiography, Mental Health Nursing, Operating Department Practice, Paramedic Science, Radiotherapy and Oncology or Social Work you are required to achieve the following:
IELTS (Academic or UKVI): 7.0 overall, and a minimum of 6.5 in each component
Cambridge Assessment English: C1 Advanced Certificate in Advanced English minimum overall score of 185, no less than 180 in each component
