LEVEL 3 NATIONAL EXTENDED DIPLOMA EQUINE MANAGEMENT (EQUITATION) YEAR 2

This course gives you the opportunity to gain detailed academic knowledge and an in-depth understanding of horse management and equitation through theory-based and practical sessions.

You will be involved in the daily care of the horses through yard duties, including weekends which will develop the practical skills necessary to gain employment within the equine industry. You will also have the opportunity to assist in the running of College equine competitions. It is therefore compulsory students to live in Hartpury accommodation for the duration of the course. Our outstanding facilities include:

Four indoor arenas, including our multi-million pound Indoor Championship Arena complex with seating for 600
Three outdoor arenas, including a world class championship arena
Stabling for 280 horses
Equine Veterinary and Therapy Centre, including aquafit and high speed treadmills, solarium and other therapy systems
Cross-country courses up to FEI***

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Indian Certificate of Secondary Education is considered comparable to GCSE (grades A*-C / 9-4), for every subject passed, where grades of 1-6 (40-100%) have been obtained.

Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) / Standard 12 is considered comparable to the overall AS Level standard.
Diploma (from a State Board of Technical Education) is considered comparable to BTEC Level 3 Diploma, when studied for three years.

Our minimum overall IELTS scores are listed below, and are in line with UKVI standard. The Common
European Framework for languages (CEFR) level is shown in brackets:
BTEC/A-Level/Access: = 5.5 (B2)
