Advanced Health Care Leadership (Ontario College Graduate Certificate)
The Advanced Health Care Leadership Ontario College Graduate Certificate program prepares graduates for emerging leadership roles within health care settings.
Students will be able to integrate patient and family care theories into current practices which are responsive for a variety of cultures, behaviours, situations and environments. Core concepts of leadership, quality and improvements to patient safety are explored to achieve enhanced patient outcomes. Students will apply professional leadership concepts as a member of a multi-disciplinary health care team in an organization.

Lambton in Toronto was opened in partnership with Cestar College who is licensed to administer the curriculum. International students taking programs in Toronto will be learning in a challenging, but friendly environment designed to meet the specific needs of an international student. Job Opportunity Potential
Graduates of the program will gain enhanced leadership knowledge, skill and vision to apply to the health care system.
This program does not meet the preparatory requirements or the eligibility criteria to write the registration exams to qualify as a registered practical nurse or registered nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Please visit the College of Nurses of Ontario to learn more about how to become a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in Ontario. The college will not provide evidence of language proficiency and students must write the accepted language proficiency tests as set out by the CNO.

If your program was less than 8 months
- You aren’t eligible for a PGWP.
If your program was more than 8 months but less than 2 years
- We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for up to the same length as your study program.
For example, if you completed a 9-month program, we may give you a work permit for up to 9 months.
If your program was 2 years or more
- We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for 3 years.
If you completed more than 1 program
- You may be able to get a PGWP that combines the length of each program.
Each of the programs you completed -
- must be PGWP-eligible and at least 8 months in length
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- A university degree in a health care field.
This program is not suitable for students with a dentistry or pharmacy background.
The admissions process is competitive and meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee admission.

English Language Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate language proficiency by submitting one of the following scores:
- IELTS of 6.5
- or -
IELTS of 6.0 + Completion of EAP-3106 (English for Academic Purposes) during the first term of study. - TOEFL iBT 79

TOEFL 70 + Completion of EAP-3106 (English for Academic Purposes) during the first term of study.
Passed Lambton Institute of English placement test
Please Note: IELTS is the only proficiency score accepted by the Study Direct Stream (SDS) program. Additional country-specific requirements may also be applicable.
Meeting the minimum English requirements does not guarantee admission. Students with higher English proficiency scores will receive priority in the admission assessment process.
Not all students will qualify for EAP-3106 in place of the required IELTS or TOEFL test scores.
