The PhB(Hons)/BSc(Hons) is an ideal path to take if you are already aiming for a career in research, but it is equally good if you decide to enter the workforce directly, as you will

not only have gained the academic and generic skills normally obtained within a science degree but will have gained highly marketable skills in independent research, oral and

written communication and teamwork.

• Develop, apply, integrate and generate scientific knowledge in educational and professional contexts;

• Identify and apply various research concepts, methodologies and methods
• Work and learn in both independent and collaborative ways with others to encompass diverse abilities and perspectives;

• The International Students studying in ANU, Canberra gets PSW of 3 years after completion of UG Programs.

Applicants who complete a recognized secondary/senior secondary/post-secondary/tertiary sequence of study will be assessed on the basis of an equivalent selection rank that is calculated upon application. In order to achieve these outcomes, a competitive ranking of applicants may be adjusted to ensure access to ANU is a reality for brilliant students from countries across the globe. If required, the competitive ranking may further be confirmed on the basis of demonstrating higher-level English language proficiency.

A score of 70% or more with no section less than 65%

Academic IELTS An overall score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component of the test.

TOEFL paper based test A score of 570 with a TWE* score of 4.5.

TOEFL internet based test An overall score of 80, with a minimum of 20 in Reading and Writing and 18 in Speaking and Listening.

Cambridge CAE Advanced (Post 2015) An overall score of 176 with a minimum of 169 in all sub-skills.

PTE Academic An overall score of 64 with a minimum score of 55 in each of the communicative skills.

At a minimum, all applicants must meet program-specific academic/non-academic requirements, and English language requirements. Admission to most ANU programs is on a competitive basis. Therefore, meeting all admission requirements does not automatically guarantee entry.

In line with the university's admissions policy and strategic plan, an assessment for admission may include competitively ranking applicants on the basis of specific academic achievement, English language proficiency and diversity factors.

Prerequisites

This program is restricted to approximately six students from each institution annually so admission is highly selective. As a guide only, you will be expected, for both programs, to achieve a minimum Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 99 or at least four ‘A’ levels with A1 grades.
