PSW Opportunity

  • 12 to 36 months (OPT duration depends on the major studied).

 

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Once admitted to the combined program, the student may complete up to 12 credit hours of graduate courses while enrolled in the undergraduate program.  Of these, a maximum of two courses of up to 8 credit hours will count towards both the undergraduate degree and the graduate degree, either as electives or requirements, depending on the course.  Upon receipt of their Bachelor's degree, students who have a 3.0 or better in their graduate courses will automatically be admitted to the Graduate Program and have up to 12 hours of graduate coursework (and grades) added to their graduate transcripts provided a grade of B or higher is earned in the course.

Students who are accepted for an accelerated 4+1 program may apply or transfer a maximum of 12 graduate credit hours taken while an undergraduate provided a grade of B or higher is earned in the course.  No additional graduate credit hours taken as an undergraduate may be applied or transferred to the graduate record.

Transfer Requirements:

  1. Cumulative GPA of 2.0 at all previous colleges and universities combined for most programs. The College of Engineering requires a 2.2 and the College of Education and Human Services requires a 2.5.
  2. Proof of English proficiency.
