Graduate Diploma in Social Research Methods

A social research degree is the perfect capstone to any undergraduate degree or the ideal complement for professionals working across fields that use information about people. This course delivers highly transferable social research skills using a hands-on approach, giving you the skills to understand, and generate solutions to, pressing social questions. It also provides skills needed to prepare and present research findings in ways that have an impact. You'll gain a developed understanding of a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods, research ethics, budgeting and evaluation, as well as the skills to conduct and present research. You'll also obtain first-hand experience in understanding, critiquing and undertaking social research and writing up results, including crafting a research project.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have—
(a) a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA;
and
(b) the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 50 per cent;
and
(c) successfully completed prior study in a field relevant to Social Research Methods.
