Aberdeen is a leading centre for the study of literature, language and creative writing, rated second in the UK for its research output. You will study poetry and prose through the dynamic relationship between author, reader and literary text, covering every period from Chaucer to contemporary English, Scottish, Irish, European and American writing and the cultural and critical impact of powerful and controversial modern works.

Indian School Certificate or Higher Secondary School Certificate

Arts: At Standard XII a minimum percentage of 75% overall. Additionally, a minimum percentage of 80% in English at Standard XII or our normal English language requirements. The University of Aberdeen will also accept successful completion of the first year of a University degree programme as qualifying for first-year entry. 

Science: At Standard XII a minimum percentage of 75% overall, including 75% or more in two science subjects, or Mathematics and a science subject. A minimum grade of 75% is required where the prospectus specifies good performance in a particular subject. Additionally, a minimum percentage of 80% in English at Standard XII or our normal English language requirements

Engineering: At Standard XII a minimum percentage of 75% overall, including 75% or more in Mathematics and Physics. Additionally, a minimum percentage of 80% in English at Standard XII or our normal English language requirements
