Water-Energy-Food Nexus (Management) PhD

This is a potential research degree area, subject to the approval of the University. If you are interested in undertaking a research degree in this area, please make contact with the Dean to discuss your proposal.

It has become increasingly apparent that water, energy and food security cannot be considered in silos, but should be understood and analysed as interconnected elements of a nexus. A research project in this area could explore the role of the water, energy and food (WEF) nexus in sustainable development and, in particular, achieving an equilibrium state through policy and implementation instruments that support and facilitate sustainable development.

Our research programmes will prepare you for a rewarding career as an academic and researcher, as well as opening up opportunities for a diverse range of careers outside of academia.
