Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Accounting and Financial Management (Top-Up)

To enable students to demonstrate relevant knowledge and understanding of the role of accounting and finance in business organisations
To assist students to develop a range of subject specific and transferable skills which will prepare them for a career in a wide range of commercial and not-for-profit organisations
To develop and maintain an awareness and understanding of accounting and finance in a regional, national and international context
To develop students' transferable skills of analysis, judgment, communication and independent learning
To widen access to undergraduate accounting and financial management courses for students by providing a flexible mode of delivery, with appropriate student support and guidance.

Full-Time Positions (Non-Academic & Academic)

Academic Positions (Part-Time)
Associate Lecturer(s) will be appointed on part-time basis to cater to short-term teaching requirements. After the recruitment process has concluded, the official appointment will take place three (3) to six (6) months prior to the commencement of classes or it will be subject to the availability of teaching classes.

Applicants must possess a recognised University degree. Any other relevant professional qualifications, industry experience and pedagogical training would be advantageous.

PSW Opportunity

  • The International Students studying in certain institutions in Singapore are allowed to work part time for 16 hours per week as mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore.
  • Students who have studied in the institutions mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore are allowed to apply for a Long Term Visitor Pass.
  • They are allowed to look for a job during this time period.This is for 12 months.If the students get a job during this time period, the employer may sponsor for an Employment pass.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Entry Requirements

Applicants must be of age 18 and above and possess one of the following entrance requirements:

Higher National Diploma in Business related discipline

OR

MDIS Advanced Diploma in Management Studies (Business Administration/Accounting and Finance)

OR

Business-related diplomas from local/overseas polytechnics with entry requirement of 10 years of formal education

OR

PEIs qualification (equivalent to 1st and 2nd year external degree programme) with entry requirement of 12 years of formal education

Possess a minimum C6 grade in English at GCE 'O' Level

IELTS 6.0 (with no element below 5.5)

MDIS Professional Certificate in English (PCIE)
