Career Preparation for Engineering Trades – Introduction to Welding

If you like construction and working with your hands, welding is a useful skill to learn.  This programme is for people who are new to welding and fabrication.  You will be taught welding techniques and learn in a ‘real-world’ workshop, to gain four industry-recognised welding tickets.

Beginner or new to the industry? Our Welding Level 3 course is the perfect solution.  In this 20 week course you’ll be able to gain the foundation knowledge and skills for the booming welding industry. You will be able to get into the workforce or Specialised Welding Level 4.

The Aspire2 International campus is located in the very heart of Auckland City. This makes it well connected to the city’s buses, trains, and ferries. PSW Opportunity

  • During study, all students on a student visa can work up to 20 hours per week during semester and full time during vacations.
  • After completing Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Qualification, a student will get a three years open post-study work visa.
  • After completing Level 8 Post Graduate courses of 1 year, students get 1 year PSW.

This programme is open to anyone aged 18 and over.

If you are coming from overseas, to be eligible for this course you must be 18 years of age or older

provide evidence of an IELTS overall band score of at least 5.5 (Academic), with no individual band less than 5.0

have a Pearson Academic Test score of 42 and above with no individual band score less than 36
