The Occupational English Test (OET) is an international English language test that evaluates the communication skills of healthcare professionals looking to register and practice in an English-speaking environment. The test has been developed specifically for 12 healthcare professions: Dentistry, Dietetics, Medicine, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Radiography, Speech Pathology and Veterinary Science.

The test measures vital communication skills which cover internal patient communication, medical terminologies and jargon. Studying with our OET course will increase confidence for safe and effective practice, help develop new language skills and can be a great opportunity for future career benefits in the English speaking world. Our 6-week and 12-week preparation courses provide students with all the essential skills and test-taking strategies needed to enhance their performance in the test.

Successful OET test takers are recognised as effective communicators able to communicate on matters that are both technical and emotional who use common language that patients can easily understand.
