Accredited by the Australian Psychological Accreditation Council (APAC) and approved by the Australian Psychological Society (now that’s credibility), the Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Science in Psychology double degree will give you a broad understanding of the theory and practice of business in areas such as management, marketing, service management, human resource management, entrepreneurship, innovation and international business. It will also enable you to apply your analytical and creative skills within a variety of disciplinary and cultural backgrounds.

For managers and aspiring managers, the course offers a broad and coherent theoretical and technical knowledge in a range of core areas of business as well as the necessary skills to be effective in today’s changing workplaces.

From a psychology perspective (and you’ll certainly gain perspective while studying these qualifications!), you’ll explore the science behind the discipline, apply research methods to conduct studies, ethically interpret the results and write reports according to APAC’s conventions.

Combine a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Science in Psychology at UC and you will: 

  • acquire a broad understanding of the theory and practice of management, be able to recognise specific problem-solving contexts and apply your analytical and creative skills within a variety of disciplines and cultural backgrounds
  • specialise in a range of management areas, including marketing, service management, human resource management, entrepreneurship, innovation and international business
  • acquire an understanding of the scientific basis of the discipline of psychology and understand the research methods used by psychologists
  • gain an ability to apply research methods to design and conduct studies, analyse and interpret results and write research reports using APAC conventions
  • understand the application of values, research and professional ethics in psychological research and in other professional contexts.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

  • Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
  • Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
  • Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
  • The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

  • Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
  • Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
  • Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
  • PhD students can stay upto 4 years

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

  • Must  provide certified evidence of your current English proficiency level including:  English tests; transcripts and award certificates; and/or a letter from the  institution stating the language of instruction.
  • Must  provide certified evidence of academic transcripts and award  certificates. Transcripts should indicate if the academic requirements of  the course are incomplete /complete or if the award has been conferred.
  • Provide Statements of Employment and a Resume with referee contact details for courses with work experience requirements.
  • Subject descriptions must be provided for International Qualifications and may be requested for Domestic Qualifications if required. Not providing this documentation with your application could delay the outcome- Credit transfer/ advanced standing.
  • Other  qualifications not listed will be considered on an individual basis. This list  provides minimum entry requirements for courses; however, some courses may  have higher entry requirements. If you are unable to meet the above requirements, you may be eligible to access a pathway provided by college.
