What to Expect in the Science Education Program
You’ll take a variety of science courses to prepare you with the diverse scientific knowledge you’ll need to teach students. You’ll also be placed in the middle or high school classroom as an observer as early as your freshman year, gradually increasing your time in the classroom each year. Your senior year student teaching experience will culminate all of your field experience for firsthand preparation as a science education teacher.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Undergraduate: 2.5 GPA, 18 ACT or 960 SAT
Nursing Undergraduate: 3.0 GPA, 20 ACT or 1030 SAT
Our incoming undergraduate students obtain, on average, a 3.4 GPA and a 23 ACT score.
If you don't think you meet both automatic admission requirements, you should still apply as you may meet alternative criteria for admission.
Did you graduate from high school, or the equivalent, 3+ years ago? No standardized test score required.
