Bachelor of Science in Communication - Electronic Media
The electronic media concentration at UIndy gives you a sturdy grasp on the skills needed to enter the TV and radio workforce fully prepared. You will get experience in the many aspects of the radio and TV industries, including writing, production, and on-air talent. The tailored nature of this program allows you to focus your education in TV, radio, or both.
PROGRAM STRENGTHS
- Unlike many programs, UIndy lets you jump right in to working radio and television studios during your first semester (in fact, it's expected!)
- Applied courses can be taken each semester, giving you time to explore a wide range of areas and advance your skillset
- Practice behind-the-scenes operations in broadcasting using much of the same equipment that you'll find in commercial TV or radio stations
- Professors have strong backgrounds in radio and television broadcasting, and continued ties with both industries, so they ensure classes are up-to-date with the latest developments in the field
