Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Transcripts and credential evaluation reports:
- You are required to submit an official course-by-course credential evaluation report of your transcripts from all post-secondary institutions you have attended outside the United States. You may select any credential evaluation service listed as a current member of NACES or AICE. Once you have chosen an evaluation service, follow instructions on their site regarding how to submit your transcripts. Please have the evaluation service send an official course-by-course credential evaluation report of your transcripts directly to the University of Indianapolis.
English proficient examination results
- Students for whom English is a second language are required to submit TOEFL iBT or IELTS score reports. The University of Indianapolis institutional minimum is 79 although individual graduate programs may have higher proficiency requirements. The admissions counselor or program director for your major can provide program-specific requirements.
- Please have official TOEFL (UIndy code 1321) or IELTS results sent directly to the University of Indianapolis from the examination service.
Certification of finances (Students applying for visas only)
For applicants who need a student visa, we require documentation of adequate funds to cover all expenses during the course of study. You will need to demonstrate that you have resources equal to the cost of tuition, fees, housing, food, books, supplies, medical insurance, personal expenses and any emergencies for one year. Costs vary by program. Please contact your graduate admissions counselor to receive a Statement of Financial Support form.
