Bachelor of Science - Chemistry (Minor)

Students interested in the physical sciences who wish to concentrate their studies in Chemistry may choose to take this minor. Formative in nature, this program option allows students to delve into the complex and exciting study of the chemical world.

Fueled by curiosity and an aptitude for the sciences, students in the Chemistry minor will have the opportunity to expand their horizons and career opportunities with the knowledge gained from the lectures, labs, and experiences in in this program.

As with other program offerings in the Crandall Science department, students benefit from close contact with their professors, allowing a great deal of freedom to ask questions and learn in a community atmosphere – to allow their curiosity to develop into a knowledge that seeks wisdom.

   We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for up to the same length as your study program.
For example, if you completed a 9-month program, we may give you a work permit for up to 9 months.

   We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for 3 years.

> If you completed more than 1 program
   You may be able to get a PGWP that combines the length of each program.

Each of the programs you completed -
must be PGWP-eligible and at least 8 months in length

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

International applicants are required to have completed a preparatory program that leads to university entrance in their own country. Generally, an academic language arts course and a minimum of four additional university-preparatory courses are required. A university preparatory math course is required for students applying to the Bachelor of Science program. Students applying for our Bachelor of Science will also be required to have a university-preparatory course in Biology and Chemistry.

  • Secondary school applicants need to have achieved in their final year of schooling an average of 70% (5 best scoring academic subjects).
  • Applicants who are looking to transfer from another post-secondary institution are required to have an overall GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.3 scale).
