Bachelor of Design (Honours)

This Honours program has been designed to enable students who have demonstrated substantial ability at an undergraduate level to develop advanced levels of studio practice, supporting theory, and an advanced level of research understanding.

The program will allow students the flexibility to undertake Honours that best fits their area of study.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

The University's Bachelor Honours Degree (AQF Level 8) Policy will apply.

To be eligible for admission to this Honours program, consideration will be given to the following criteria:

  • candidates who have achieved a GPA of at least 5.0 over the best 90 credit points of studio courses in the second or third years of their undergraduate degree*
  • have recommended one suitable supervisor who may be available and willing to facilitate the student's project requirements
  • submit a proposal outlining the nature of the Research Project that they wish to undertake
  • the lapse in time since the prospective candidate qualified for the award of a Bachelor's degree.
