Master of Professional Engineering (Accelerated) (Intelligent Information Engineering)
The Master of Professional Engineering (Accelerated) is the ideal two-year full-time degree for those engineers who have previously graduated with an undergraduate engineering degree in a related field seeking recognised accreditation to practice in Australia and overseas.
Please note that the degree to be conferred will be the Master of Professional Engineering.
In the last decade, we have seen the surge of intelligence being used in information engineering for a wide range of domains, such as smart city, advanced manufacturing, automatic driving, 5G and Internet of things, virtual reality and augmented reality, etc.
The major in intelligent information engineering builds on foundations in mathematics, electrical engineering and basic computer and software engineering principles, and focuses on teaching students the latest technologies in information engineering such as machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI), video and speech recognition, multimedia and sensory signal processing.
This major aims to offer a comprehensive program with state-of-the-art intelligent information engineering technologies.
The courses offered span three key areas: telecommunication, electrical and electronic engineering, and computer and software engineering, with an emphasis on intelligent information processing technologies.
