MA International Relations

 The refugee crisis, epidemics like Ebola and Zika, terrorism, international conflict, and nuclear tensions are just some of the issues that highlight how the complexity of international politics affects the lives of billions. 

This course will enable you to understand contemporary international events, their causes and repercussions in great depth, through theoretical debates – and how those debates resonate in distinct issue areas and contexts.

This course will give you a firm grounding in the fundamental principles of International Relations. You'll learn to analyze and address specific global questions and you'll engage with the latest research via debate and discussion.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate degree

2:1 or equivalent. We are willing to consider applicants with lower qualifications, particularly if you have high marks in relevant modules and/or appropriate professional experience. Additional information may be requested.

India

For a postgraduate taught course such as a Masters, you would normally need a Bachelors's degree from a recognized institution.

Typically you would need at least the equivalent to a UK upper second class honors degree, however some courses will accept lower second class honors degrees. Actual requirements will vary by course.

  • A score of 60 percent is considered comparable to a UK 2:1

We take into account universities who mark more rigorously, the eg University of Delhi, where we usually accept 55 percent or higher.
