Course description
The Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology is designed to qualify graduates for employment opportunities at para professional level in a range of engineering, manufacturing and related industries roles.
This course is delivered in a combination of engaging face-to-face classes, workshops, tutorials, lectures and online activities. Students learn advanced technology applications, robotics, mechanics, automation using PLCs and microcontrollers, electronics and instrumentation, fluid power controlled engineering systems, computer aided design, and advanced manufacturing technologies. Students go beyond the classroom and participate in industry projects and practical workshops.
Swinburne also offers this qualification with specialisation in Civil Engineering Design or in Mechanical Engineering Design.
This course is based at Hawthorn with some workshop components delivered at Wantirna.
