Tecnical Diploma (TD) In Precision Agriculture Technician

Learn how Global Positioning Systems (GPS) work and how they are used in farming with this diploma program. You will gain knowledge and skills in basic crop production, electronically controlled systems and customer service. In addition, you’ll learn how to install, maintain and operate precision agriculture tools. Courses also cover skills for work in the parts and service department of an agriculture equipment dealership. You will be prepared for work in the high-tech, fast-paced precision agriculture field.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Provide TOEFL scores. TOEFL scores are NOT needed if enrolling into the Intensive English Program.

  • Minimum TOEFL scores needed for entering an Associate in Applied Science Degree Program:
    • 520 on the paper-based test
    • 190 on the computer-based test
    • 68 on Internet-based test
  • Non-native English speakers who meet the minimum TOEFL requirements should enroll in ‘Bridge’ courses during the first

semester at Fox Valley Technical College. ‘Bridge’ courses receive additional assistance from an English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor and are designed for students transitioning from ESL to non-ESL courses
