Technical Diploma (TD) in Diesel Engine Service Technician (FABTECH)
There is a shortage of skilled diesel engine specialists. This program will provide you with the skills required to perform engine overhauls, testing, fuel system repairs and diagnostics on Caterpillar® diesel engines. In less than a year, you could be on the job earning a good income at Fabick Cat, your exclusive Cat Dealer for the entire state of Wisconsin, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and throughout major portions of Missouri and Illinois. This technical diploma is one of two required. The 40 credits earned in this program are applied to either the Diesel Construction Equipment Service Technician program or the Diesel Power Generation & Marine Service Tech program.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
High School Transcript
Submit a final, official high school transcript or an official copy of GED/HSED certification scores.
FABICK Personal Interview
After all required documents are received, FABICK will schedule a personal interview with selected applicants to determine eligibility for the program.
Provide TOEFL scores. TOEFL scores are NOT needed if enrolling into the Intensive English Program.
- Minimum TOEFL scores needed for entering an Associate in Applied Science Degree Program:
- 520 on the paper-based test
- 190 on the computer-based test
- 68 on Internet-based test
- Non-native English speakers who meet the minimum TOEFL requirements should enroll in ‘Bridge’ courses during the first
semester at Fox Valley Technical College. ‘Bridge’ courses receive additional assistance from an English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor and are designed for students transitioning from ESL to non-ESL courses
