Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), OR approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses.
Alternatively, applicants may be granted admission on the basis of: - having successfully undertaken tertiary studies in music at or above Diploma level to the equivalent of at least one year of study.
- NESA prerequisite
The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) requires you to obtain a Band 5 in three HSC subjects (or equivalent) one of which must be English (either English Standard, English Advanced or English EAL/D).
If you have non-Australian high school qualifications, the University will assess whether you have achieved an equivalent standard through your high school studies. - You are expected to have studied the following subjects in high school to succeed in this course:
- Music 2
TOEFL - IBT score - A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
IELTS score - A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
TOEFL - PBT score - A minimum result of 565 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing
Pearsons Test of English - A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
