The University of Sydney (UniSyd)

Camperdown , New South Wales ,Australia

Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Languages)

The Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Languages) will provide you with the opportunity to combine your passion for the study of languages and cultures with practical skills in multilingual translation and to develop high-level intercultural competency and communication skills.

You will complete two language majors, attain foundational knowledge in translation theory, and gain real-world experience through practical translation projects.

The degree will allow you to engage in the study of different cultures, as well as the opportunity to undertake exchange semesters and short courses with our international partners. You will work with a team of leading academics and researchers of multilingualism and graduate with advanced skills in analyzing cross-lingual and cross-cultural issues and a toolkit for practical translation in multilingual contexts. The course also allows students to pursue an additional major or minor in a non-language subject area such as business, economics, humanities/social sciences, or science.
