BA (Hons) Graphic Design and Illustration with Foundation Year
?This course has a reputation for excellence and we are proud to have produced some of the country’s most innovative and respected designers and illustrators. They include Paul Pensom, who is current Art Editor at Creative Review; Joe Stottard, designer at Adidas in Germany; James Gilmore, designer at Design Studio, responsible for the recent rebranding of The Premier League and Airbnb; Malik Thomas-Smeda who was commissioned by the National Football Museum in Manchester; Al Murphy, freelance illustrator with an international client base including MTV, Guardian and TimeOut NY; Kirsty White, who won first prize in the national 2010 Penguin Book Design Awards; Luke Sanders, who designed the 2009 D&AD Annual which was art directed by the world-renowned Peter Saville; Katy Foster whose final year project was featured in the book Data Flow 2 – Visualising Information in Graphic Design and Owain Bentley, whose final year film was shown at Glastonbury.
Additional opportunities available outside of the studio include study trips at each Level (typically to Manchester, London and Berlin) and the prestigeous Susan Cotton Travel Awards and Sue Dunthorne Travel Bursaries, that give students opportunities to undertake overseas trips for personal and professional development.
Foundation Year
The general art and design Foundation Year shared by Architecture, Fashion: Design & Communication, Fine Art and Graphic Design & Illustration is ideal if you have the interest and ability to study for a degree, but do not have the qualifications to enter directly onto the art and design degree programme yet. Once you pass the Foundation Year (level 3) you will progress directly onto the first year of the Graphic Design & Illustration honours degree.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Applicants require a Higher Secondary Certificate / Standard 12 / Indian School Certificate (Year 12) OR All India Senior School Certificate Examination with a minimum of 65% overall (60% in Maths and 60% in your chosen subject).
Applicants require a minimum IELTS 6.0 Overall with 5.5 in each component score or we may accept equivalent qualifications.
We will accept the following Standard XII English state boards with a score of 70% or above as an alternative to IELTS:

A UKVI approve SELT is a compulsory requirement for students applying from the regions of Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh - even if the students have studied their Standard XII from CBSE/ISCE Boards
