Education Studies: Primary (BA)
Program Available at Carmarthen Campus
Develop your understanding and knowledge of education in a primary school context, and expand your skills, through our Education Studies: Primary degree program.
This degree focuses on education in a wide context, including the importance of inclusion issues, how children learn and the professional values and practice involved in primary education. BA Education Studies: Primary is one of the very few degree programs in the UK which focuses on studying education in the primary school sector.
The program is available through the medium of English, through the medium of Welsh, or bilingually, and all lecturers are bilingual; however on some occasions, guest lecturers and/or visiting experts will contribute and these lectures may be in English with supporting Welsh material. Welsh-medium lectures are dependent on the size of the cohort. Students undertake two observational placements and there is an opportunity to spend a semester abroad.
