BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering
This course gives you a sound technological understanding in the field of electrical and electronic engineering. With access to modern engineering tools and a hi-tech laboratory environment, you’ll learn the latest skills and knowledge in digital signal processing, microelectronic, and VLSI (very-large-scale integration) design practice, robotics, and neural networks, power systems applications, and advanced power conversion and control application trends. You’ll also have the exciting opportunity to study abroad or work in the industry for a year, boosting your CV and employment prospects.

Campus Information
College Lane Campus
The main site of the university remains the College Lane campus, which houses the original Hatfield Technical College building. Notable among the buildings in this campus is the university's Learning Resource Centre, a combined library and computer centre. There is also a substantial collection of halls of residence and student houses, and the University of Hertfordshire Students' Union is headquartered at College Lane campus. The College Lane campus is also the location of Hertfordshire International College, which is part of the Navitas group, providing a direct pathway for international students to the University.

Job Opportunity Potential
The broad-based skills acquired during this course will equip you to enter a wide range of electrical and electronics sectors. Our previous graduates have found employment in medical electronics, power generation and distribution industries, communications, avionics and automotive electronics, with many successfully moving into management positions within a few years. - DMM - Requires Extended Diploma in Engineering (DMM) to include Distinction in Further Maths
GCSE: Grade 4/C in English and 4/C Mathematics
Undergraduate (year 1)
- Completion of the Standard XII Certificate with 60-70% depending on points tariff required by the UH course. Some courses may require specific subjects
- IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band for standard courses – some courses require higher
- Standard XII English with 65% will also be accepted
