This course will prepare you for work in the fast-paced world of emergency care, giving you the skills you need to work as a paramedic. This is not the only career path open to you though, as you can also work in other areas of the healthcare sector, such as minor injuries units or GP surgeries, or even take your skills to the private sector, for example by working on an oil rig.

Please see below some examples of the qualifications for entry onto Year 1 for September 2021 and September 2022 entry:

• Chinese Senior High School Graduation Certificate (Huikao) average 80%, or Gaokao 66-76%. Grade depends on the course
• Hong Kong HKDSE Diploma (4,4,3 to 4,4,4 from three subjects). Grade depends on the course
• All India Senior School Certificate Examination (Standard XII) 65-75%
• Italian Esame di Stato with 65-75%. Grade depends on the course
• Titulo de Bachillerato with 6.5 or 7.5. Grade depends on course

Entry requirements for Bangladeshi students

BU International College Foundation Certificates

• You can undertake a Foundation Certificate before going on to an undergraduate course if you have successfully completed 12 years of schooling in Bangladesh and achieved a minimum of IELTS (Academic) 5.0.

Undergraduate courses

• You can apply to study for a Bachelor's degree from year one if you have a Bachelors's degree from a recognized Bangladeshi institution, with at least two years of study.

Entry requirements for Indian students

• You can undertake a Foundation Certificate before going on to an undergraduate course if you have successfully completed 12 years of schooling in India and achieved a minimum of IELTS (Academic) 5.0.

Undergraduate courses

• You can apply to study for a Bachelor's degree from year one if you hold a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Standard XII and have achieved an average percentage of at least 65% (although some courses will require this to be higher).
