MSc Foundations of Clinical Psychology
This Master’s course within the Department of Psychology adopts a patient-centred approach to teaching the origins and range of clinical psychology. It is recognised and respected by practitioners for producing sound, highly employable graduates within many branches of psychology.
The course is ideal for anyone wishing to gain an in-depth knowledge of clinical psychology, and is particularly relevant if you intend to apply to a training programme to qualify as a clinical psychologist. Whilst a place on such a training programme is not guaranteed, our graduates have a thorough grounding in all relevant aspects. Alternatively, you may choose to pursue a career in psychological research.

Talbot Campus
Talbot Campus is where the majority of our Faculties are located and is also where you'll find the main university facilities, such as The Sir Michael Cobham Library, the Student Centre and SportBU - a fully equipped sports centre and gym. There are many study spaces where you can work in groups or individually within the library and the Student Centre, as well as in the Purple Lounge.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Entry requirements for Bangladeshi students
- You need to have a Master’s degree from a recognized Bangladeshi institution, which should follow a three or four-year Bachelor's degree.
Entry requirements for Indian students
- You need to have an Indian Bachelor's (Honours) degree from a recognized higher education institution in a relevant subject and to have met the minimum required grades.
Entry requirements for Nepalese
- You need to have a Master’s degree, following a three-year Bachelor's degree, to apply for one of our postgraduate taught courses.
Entry requirements for Sri Lankan students
- If you have been awarded a four-year Bachelor's degree by a recognized higher education institution in Sri Lanka, you can apply for a taught postgraduate degree at BU
