Hebrew

Intensive Hebrew language courses (Ulpan) are open to students and also to professionals and community members. Hebrew Ulpans are offered as a complement to a longer degree or study abroad program at TAU, or they can be taken as a stand-alone opportunity not connected to any program or degree. In the case of students enrolled in an undergraduate semester or year-long program at TAU International, the first semester is preceded by a mandatory Ulpan. This offers students the opportunity to develop their Hebrew language skills and prepare them for life in Israel. Outside of this, Ulpan is also open for individuals (professionals, other students, adult learners, community members, etc.) who just want to come for the Summer or Winter sessions and learn Hebrew!

  • In the Winter, Summer Short, and Summer Long Ulpan sessions, classes are held from Sunday-Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • In the Summer Beginners Ulpan session, classes are held from Sunday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Please note that there is a possibility of occasionally having a course meet on Fridays.
