Postgraduate Diploma in Te Reo Maori
This Diploma provides an introduction to research-based knowledge about te reo M?ori, emphasising linguistic competence and critical thinking about a number of contemporary aspects of the language.
Students take the advanced language course TITLE 401 Te Reo: Te Kohure and three other Te Reo Maori courses.
Students who complete the Diploma with Merit or Distinction may transfer to the Master of Te Reo Maori.

PSW Opportunity
- During study, all students on a student visa can work up to 20 hours per week during semester and full time during vacations.
- After completing Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Qualification, a student will get a three years open post-study work visa.
- After completing Level 8 Post Graduate courses of 1 year, students get 1 year PSW.

Academic entry requirements
Students wishing to enroll in the Postgraduate Diploma in Te Reo Maori must have one of the following:
- a bachelor’s degree with a major in Te Reo Maori; or
- any bachelor’s degree, and have also completed a Graduate Diploma in Arts in Te Reo Maori; or
- any bachelor’s degree, and have relevant professional experience and fluency in Te Reo Maori.
