Graduate Certificate in Event Management
The Graduate Certificate in Event Management is designed for working professionals seeking formal qualifications as well as students who wish to develop knowledge and skills relevant to the event sector.
This postgraduate qualification is designed to expose students to contemporary event management theories, concepts, and skills that are the basis of successful events across a range of economic sectors.
Students will learn how to critically interpret and evaluate the impacts, trends, and issues associated with event management, as well as how to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Event Management, students may be eligible to articulate (enter) into the second semester of the ICMS Master of Event Management.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- Successful completion of a bachelor degree (AQF7) from an Australian higher education institution or overseas equivalent.
- Successful completion of an overseas higher education course of at least three years duration (minimum AQF level 6 or equivalent), with a minimum credit grade average (GPA 3.0 on a 5-point scale)
- Successful completion of a recognised Diploma or Advanced Diploma (or equivalent as recognised by the Australian Government's qualifications recognition tool) with at least four (4) years relevant full-time work experience.
- Successful completion of an approved Postgraduate Qualifying Program from an Australian higher education institution or overseas equivalent.
- At least five years appropriate full-time managerial or professional experience. (Applicants must demonstrate a recognisable level of responsibility as part of their work experience. Position accountability in a range of areas such as budgeting, staffing, project management, financial management or other relevant supervisory experience should be evident in the applicant's work history. While senior levels of volunteer experience may be considered, normally the majority of the work should be in a paid, full- time capacity.) - Successful completion of at least two award or at least two non-award subjects (at AQF Level 8 or above) from an Australian higher education institution or overseas equivalent
