Diploma in Applied Business Level 7
The aim of the Diploma in Applied Business Level 7 is to provide students with the knowledge, understanding and skills to effectively implement and apply advanced analytical tools to business, marketing, hospitality, engineering, and healthcare issues in a dynamic global environment.
Also, the Business Course aims to develop significant ‘real-life’ business context experience in relation to the major studied through the extensive work-based internship learning experience.
Students may select one of the following three major options to study: Advanced Management, Engineering Management, or Healthcare Management.

Supervisor, Entry-level Manager, Assistant Manager, Senior Supervisor, Department Head, Team Leader and other relevant supervisory and entry-level management positions within an organisation or business in New Zealand or abroad.
PSW Opportunity
- During study, all students on a student visa can work up to 20 hours per week during semester and full time during vacations.
- After completing Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Qualification, a student will get a three years open post-study work visa.
- After completing Level 8 Post Graduate courses of 1 year, students get 1 year PSW.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Domestic and international students must have completed:
- NZQF Level 5, or a 3-year Diploma, or
- a Degree,
in a field related to the applicant’s chosen major for the Advanced Management, International Marketing, and Hospitality Management majors; in an engineering discipline for the Engineering Management major; or in a healthcare-related discipline for the Healthcare Management major.
