6 months at PIHMS - 6 month Paid Hotel Internship- Graduate 120 Credits
Students are totally immersed in a hotel environment. They will be living in twin-share hotel rooms. Meals will be served in our La Vista Restaurant onsite.
Learning is a combination of lecture-style delivery in business subjects and practical hotel operations; whereby students gain experience in roles within the hotel school from food & beverage, front office, housekeeping & management

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Entry Requirements:
All applicants are interviewed. Students under 17.5 will be assessed on a case by case basis. Students are required to have completed year 12 and successfully attained NCEA level 2 with at least a total of 80 credits (or equivalent for overseas students).
60 credits must be obtained at level 2 or above
20 credits can be obtained from any level
The Level 1 literacy and numeracy requirements must also be met
Should students not gain the required numeracy and literacy credits from Maths and English then the remaining numeracy and literacy credits from other subjects will be assessed on a case to case basic
Overseas ESOL minimum of IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 213 (comp adaptive) or 550 (written). Level 5 Students with IELTS 5.5 will be required to take business communication elective.
